About this compound
What MT-2 is+
MT-2 is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Its cyclic structure, achieved through a lactam bridge between the aspartic acid and lysine residues, produces a conformationally constrained molecule with a distinct receptor binding profile compared with linear melanocortin analogues such as MT-1.
