About this compound
What DSIP is+
DSIP, delta sleep-inducing peptide, is a synthetic nonapeptide originally isolated from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits during slow-wave sleep induction experiments in the 1970s. Its nine-amino-acid sequence and the unusual presence of a phosphorylated serine residue have made it a persistent subject of neuropeptide and chronobiology research.
